CrossCom National, LLC promotes Tim Walter to Chief Information Officer
DEERFIELD, ILLINOIS (November 5, 2007)CrossCom National, LLC, a leading single-source provider of point-of-sale, data, voice and wireless solutions for retailers, announced the promotion of Tim Walter to Chief Information Officer. Tim’s primary responsibility will be to provide expertise and leadership in all business application enhancements.
“In the short time that Tim has been with the company, he has already made significant improvements in our computing environment and has successfully coordinated a major customer system conversion,” said Mark Hussey, CFO of CrossCom National.
Mr. Walter, 38, joined CrossCom National in June, 2007 as Director of Information Technology. Previously, Tim held the position of Director of Web Programming and Infrastructure for Uline Shipping Supplies, where he supported business growth from $300 million to nearly $1billon. A graduate of Valparaiso University in Indiana, Tim earned his Masters Degree in Software Engineering from DePaul University in Chicago. During his 16 years in the IT profession, he has spent 12 years in leadership roles with an emphasis on customer focused e-commerce and has been a key player in the development of websites for Service Master and Zurich America among others.
“I am excited to join CrossCom National’s IT Team of diverse and experienced professionals. I view technology as a tool to facilitate customer integration with the CrossCom National’s systems. My goal is to expand the CrossCom National web technology to better serve our customers by making it easier for them to do business with us”, said Mr. Walter.
Jerry Gore, former Chief Technology Officer for CrossCom National, will transition back to his role as independent consultant for the Company and continue with CrossCom National through 2008. Jerry was instrumental in the development of many of the core systems used today within the Company.
