CEO and President
Greg has been the President and CEO since July of 2001. Prior to that time, he was the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for all operations, technical, logistics, sales, and marketing functions at CrossCom National. During his time with the company, Greg has been the catalyst and closer on key business partnerships that leverage CrossCom National’s industry expertise to a wide spectrum of customers and capabilities. Before joining CrossCom National, Greg was an independent business owner and also served in the United States Air Force.
Greg's academic credentials include Harvard Business School's certification from the Advanced Management Program, an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management, as well as graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management from DeVry University.
Mr. Leech established CrossCom in 1981 as a telecommunications broker providing business telephone systems to small businesses in the Chicago area. Mr. Leech held the position of President and CEO until July of 2001, and continues to serve on the company's Board of Directors.
Mr. Leech earned his certification from the Harvard Business School's Owner/President/Managers Executive Education Program, his MBA from DePaul University, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Michigan State University.
Executive Vice President of Business Development
Dave Burton, a proven industry professional with a total of 23 years between two Fortune 25 companies, joined the management team on August 20, 2012 as the Executive Vice-President of Business Development. Dave offers our customers diverse business experience that successfully spans nine years with AT&T and fourteen years with CVS Caremark. Over this tenure, Dave held various leadership roles in sales, customer service, operations, strategic procurement and contracting. Daveís experience and perspective allow him to effectively match CrossCom Nationalís unique solutions to the customerís specific environment.
Dave's academic background includes Master and Bachelor degrees in Communications from William Paterson University and University of Rhode Island respectively. He received his Certification for Executive Leadership from Cornell University and a Certification for Contract Management from Villanova University. Dave also holds active Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certifications.
Chief Financial Officer
Ike Barfield was named Chief Financial Officer for CrossCom National in 2011. His primary responsibility is to provide financial leadership for the company. Ike comes to CrossCom with a solid background in financial management and control.
Most recently retained by such companies as MGI Manufacturing, inc., Martinez Manufacturing Inc. and Conway MacKenzie & Dunleavy, a premier restructuring and financial advisory firm to the middle market, Ike has an impressive background in favorably impacting company operating performance. He has also served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Dupage Die Casting Company and as Controller for Gilson Brothers Company.
Vice President of Operations
Martin Pond, a decorated officer of the United States Army with an outstanding record of over 26 years of military and civilian experience in global operations management, joined the CrossCom National Management Team in 2012 as Vice President of Operations. His proven track record of improving efficiency and ensuring the maximum utilization of all assets is particularly valuable for CrossComís focus on driving out unnecessary costs while delivering quality service to its customers.
Martin holds a Master of Science in Quality Process Management from the National Graduate School, Falmouth, MA and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA. He achieved the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from the National Graduate School, Falmouth, MA.
Chief Information Officer
Jerry began serving as CIO of CrossCom National in 2001, and rejoined the executive team in 2012. He led the architecture and deployment of our world class systems solutions, including CrossTrack, CrossManage, ExpressRestore and the industryís first B2B portal, CrossInform. Prior to rejoining CrossCom National, Jerry helped launch Centric Consultingís mobility and financial services practices in Chicago. As an entrepreneur, he founded LOIS Inc., a successful Chicago consultancy focused on custom software development.
Jerry earned his Bachelorís degree from Illinois Wesleyan University, and is a graduate of Harvard Business Schoolís Advanced Management program.
Director of Human Resources
Mary joined CrossCom National in 1989. Since that time she has held a variety of roles, bringing her leadership and experience to finance, Human Resources, IT, Marketing, Pricing and operational areas at CrossCom National. Currently, as Director of Human Resources, Mary is responsible for maintaining our culture of customer focus and disciplined execution, performance management and ensuring we have team members who can execute the companyís strategic vision.
Mary received her Bachelorís degree from Northwestern University and her MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.
